Accessibility

Tatihou Island’s geographic location makes it difficult for PRM to access. Some areas are hard to reach for wheelchair users or people travelling with young children in a stroller or pushchair, not least because of the gravel paths and sandy beaches.

People with reduced mobility (PRM) can:

  • park near the boat before boarding
  • Bring their guide dog to the island
  • Take the boat
  • Visit the museum
  • Travel along the lazaretto paths
  • Go as far as the island fort
  • People with reduced mobility (PRM) cannot:
  • Climb Vauban Tower
  • Travel along the sandy beaches
  • Access a workshop at the maritime laboratory
  • The amphibious boat has one PRM space. Please contact us by telephone for more information about accessibility in general.
