Accessibility
Tatihou Island’s geographic location makes it difficult for PRM to access. Some areas are hard to reach for wheelchair users or people travelling with young children in a stroller or pushchair, not least because of the gravel paths and sandy beaches.
People with reduced mobility (PRM) can:
- park near the boat before boarding
- Bring their guide dog to the island
- Take the boat
- Visit the museum
- Travel along the lazaretto paths
- Go as far as the island fort
- People with reduced mobility (PRM) cannot:
- Climb Vauban Tower
- Travel along the sandy beaches
- Access a workshop at the maritime laboratory
- The amphibious boat has one PRM space. Please contact us by telephone for more information about accessibility in general.
